Terms of Use

UniGuideMe ("UniGuideMe," "we," "our," or "us") provides an online platform that connects students with Independent Educational Consultants (IECs) and academic advisors to support the university admissions journey. By accessing or using our platform, website, and related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.

Please read these Terms carefully before using UniGuideMe. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the platform.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use UniGuideMe. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.

If you are registering on behalf of a minor, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of that individual and accept these Terms on their behalf.

2. User Accounts

To access certain features of the platform, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to notify us immediately at basma@uniguideme.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account. UniGuideMe is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

3. Platform Use

UniGuideMe grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the platform for its intended purpose: connecting students with educational consultants and managing the admissions journey.

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose.

  • Misrepresent your identity, credentials, or qualifications.

  • Solicit or collect personal information from other users outside of the platform.

  • Upload or transmit content that is harmful, offensive, defamatory, or in violation of any third-party rights.

  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the platform or its underlying systems.

  • Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or extract data from the platform.

4. Student and IEC Responsibilities

Students are responsible for providing accurate information about their academic background, goals, and preferences to facilitate appropriate matching with consultants.

IECs and academic advisors are responsible for ensuring that their credentials, qualifications, and areas of expertise as listed on the platform are accurate and up to date. IECs agree to conduct themselves professionally and in the best interests of the students they work with.

UniGuideMe acts as a platform connecting both parties and is not responsible for the quality, outcome, or results of any consulting engagement.

5. Payments and Fees

Payments made through UniGuideMe are subject to the fee structure agreed upon between the student and the IEC at the time of proposal acceptance. UniGuideMe may facilitate payment processing through third-party providers.

Refund eligibility and conditions are determined on a case-by-case basis and subject to the terms agreed upon between the student and the IEC. UniGuideMe is not responsible for disputes arising from consulting engagements but may assist in facilitating resolution where appropriate.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality on UniGuideMe, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software, are the property of UniGuideMe or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on the platform without prior written permission from UniGuideMe.

7. Disclaimers

UniGuideMe provides a platform for connection and workflow management. We do not guarantee admission to any university or institution, and we make no representations regarding the outcomes of any consulting engagement facilitated through the platform.

The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, UniGuideMe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or dissatisfaction with consulting outcomes.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to UniGuideMe in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

UniGuideMe reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that is harmful to other users, third parties, or the platform.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page along with an updated effective date. Your continued use of UniGuideMe after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which UniGuideMe operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
